Current state
Brokerage Atlas sets analytics cookies only with your consent, and loads nothing before you choose. The site is statically rendered on Cloudflare Pages. Until you press "Accept analytics" in the consent banner, no analytics or tracking script is loaded and no request is sent to Google — not even a cookieless one. If you press "Decline" (or ignore the banner), that stays true on every page. "Accept analytics" and "Decline" are equally prominent and each takes one click. No advertising pixels, no session recording.
Only after you accept do we load Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID
G-V530NJLELF, provided by Google Ireland Limited), which then sets these
first-party cookies (names, purposes and default expiry as documented by Google in
[GA4] Cookie usage on websites):

Browsers may cap these lifetimes (Google notes a maximum of 400 days in Chrome and 7
days in Safari when you do not return). No Google advertising cookie is set: this
site runs no ads and never grants advertising storage. Your choice (accept or
decline) is stored in the localStorage key brokerageatlas-consent on
this device — strictly necessary for the consent mechanism, holding only
granted or denied, and kept the same way for either
choice until you change it or clear site data.
Cloudflare may set its own infrastructure cookies (e.g. __cf_bm for
bot-management, __cfduid — now deprecated — for security). These are
set by Cloudflare, not by Brokerage Atlas, and are governed by
Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Planned: affiliate attribution cookie
Not active today — this cookie is not set. When the
affiliate-redirect infrastructure is activated (Cloudflare Workers + D1, not yet live
in production), clicking a /go/{vendor} outbound link would set
a first-party cookie to attribute the referral:

This cookie contains no personally identifiable information. It is scoped to brokerageatlas.com and is not used for cross-site tracking. We will update this policy when click logging goes live.
Affiliate network cookies
None. Brokerage Atlas loads no affiliate-network script or tracking pixel and sets no affiliate cookie, and no partner program is live yet (see the disclosures). Outbound links to vendors are ordinary links: once you follow one you are on the vendor's website, and any cookie that site sets is governed by its own cookie and privacy policies — not by Brokerage Atlas, and not by our consent banner. This section will be updated before any affiliate network's tracking is used.
Legal basis (GDPR)
Google Analytics cookies are set on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR —
consent (and the ePrivacy Directive as implemented in Cyprus), the same for
every visitor wherever they are. When the attribution cookie
(ba_attr) is activated, its legal basis will also be consent: we will
not set it until it is covered by the consent mechanism.
Cloudflare's infrastructure cookies (security and performance) are processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interests (protecting the site against automated abuse). Brokerage Atlas does not control these cookies.
This site is operated by a private individual based in Cyprus. The applicable supervisory authority is the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection (Cyprus): www.dataprotection.gov.cy. See the privacy policy for full controller details.
How to opt out
Decline in the consent banner and Google Analytics is never loaded. To change or
withdraw your choice at any time, press Cookie settings in the
footer of any page: the banner reopens and you can accept or decline again. If you
withdraw, Google Analytics stops for the rest of your visit, is not loaded again, and
its _ga / _ga_V530NJLELF cookies are deleted from your
browser. You can additionally:
- Manage browser cookies: all major browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies per domain. See your browser's privacy settings.
- Block third-party cookies: modern browsers offer a native setting to block all third-party cookies set by other sites.
Changes to this policy
This policy reflects our current (minimal) cookie posture. Material changes — particularly activating the attribution cookie or adding any other tracker — will be logged at /corrections/ with the date and the rationale. See also our privacy policy for the full data-collection posture.
