What we collect today
Very little. The site is statically rendered and hosted on Cloudflare Pages, with no email-collection forms, ad pixels, or behavioural tracking. The one measurement tool is Google Analytics 4, added July 2026 and strictly consent-gated (Consent Mode v2, default denied): only after you accept in the consent banner does GA4 record page views, referrer, device/browser type, approximate region, and interaction events such as referral-link clicks — legal basis is consent under GDPR Art. 6(1)(a). Decline and no analytics data is collected. See the cookie policy for the exact cookies and the withdrawal path.
Cloudflare logs standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for security and traffic operations. These logs are subject to Cloudflare's own privacy terms and are not aggregated or analysed by Brokerage Atlas.
Affiliate redirects
Some links go through a /go/{vendor} redirect path that
allows us to attribute referrals when you click through to a covered vendor. The
redirect logs the click (no PII) and forwards you to the vendor's site. The vendor's
own privacy terms apply once you land there.
The redirect infrastructure runs on Cloudflare Workers + D1. D1 is not provisioned yet in the live site, so redirect logging is not active until that ships. We will update this page when it does.
Cookies
Brokerage Atlas sets cookies only for consented analytics (see the cookie policy). The affiliate-attribution mechanism (when active) will set a first-party cookie scoped to the click event, with a configurable retention window (default 180 days). This cookie does not contain PII and is not used for cross-site tracking.
Email collection
No newsletter signup form, no email-gated content, no contact forms that store submissions in a database. The only way to reach the publication today is the legal contact path documented at /contact/legal/.
Changes
When this posture changes - the most likely additions are privacy-respecting analytics (e.g., Plausible or Cloudflare Web Analytics) and an opt-in email path - we will update this page with the date and the rationale, and log a corrections entry at /corrections/.
